Business & Logo Signs — Custom Design Deposit

$60.00
Maximum Design Size

Start a custom business sign or logo design. Select the maximum size for your proposed sign and reserve your design with a $60 deposit. Detailed logos, complex artwork and multi-layer signs may require additional design work quoted separately.

Design deposit only. This is not the full price of a fabricated sign. We will discuss the estimated finished price before design work begins. The selected size is a maximum design envelope, not a required square shape. Final pricing depends on dimensions, material, complexity and finishing.

Includes one initial custom proof and up to two rounds of reasonable revisions to the agreed concept. Significant changes in layout, concept, or solid/cutout arrangement may require an additional fee, approved before work continues.

The deposit becomes nonrefundable once design work begins. The full deposit is credited toward the approved finished sign purchase, not added to the quoted total. Credit will be applied to the corresponding custom order; it cannot be redeemed twice.

Plasma-cutting requirements: Standard minimum spacing between cutouts and remaining fine details is 3/16" (0.1875"). Openings and bridges may need to be larger for strength. Single-piece designs must remain connected; intricate artwork may need simplification or resizing. Final feasibility is subject to IR Fabrication review.

Send your concept, preferred dimensions and any reference images before or with your order. Contact us before purchasing if you are unsure whether the artwork is suitable.

Tell us about your design

Upload any reference photos, sketches, drawings, logos or inspiration images using the artwork upload field when available. You can also enter a written description of your idea in the design instructions text box. You may provide images, text, or both; professional artwork is not required. Include any names, wording, important details, and preferred orientation. We will contact you if we need more information before design work begins.

If the upload or design instructions fields do not appear on this page, email your images and description to steve@ir-fab.com with your order number.

Custom design fees and revisions

Customer-supplied artwork: A separate design fee is not required only when the supplied artwork is essentially CNC plasma-cut ready and needs little to no modification. This means the design is suitable for a single connected cut piece where applicable, has adequate bridges and minimum detail spacing, and needs no significant redrawing, conversion, cleanup, or redesign. IR Fabrication will review submitted files before confirming whether they qualify. Minor routine file preparation may be included at our discretion; if meaningful changes are required, we will explain the work and obtain approval of the applicable design fee before proceeding.

Need us to create or substantially redraw your design? A $60 design deposit is required before custom design work begins. This deposit covers one initial design concept and two rounds of reasonable revisions. The deposit is credited in full toward the finished sign when you proceed with the order, and becomes nonrefundable once design work begins.

What counts as a revision? Adjustments that refine the approved direction while keeping the same basic concept, such as resizing lettering, correcting spelling, adjusting spacing, moving elements, or making modest detail changes. Related edits submitted together count as one revision round.

What counts as a new design or major design change? Replacing the original concept, switching to a substantially different layout or theme, changing the primary artwork or subject, or requesting a complete redraw after a concept has been prepared. These changes are not included in the two revision rounds; any additional design charge will be quoted and approved before work proceeds.

Additional revisions beyond the two included rounds may also incur a separately approved charge. We will review your reference images, sketches, and written instructions and reach out if we need clarification. Final fabrication and pricing depend on design complexity and CNC feasibility. Production begins after design approval and payment arrangements are complete.
