Choose your steel thickness

• 18 Gauge — Lightweight Decorative Steel: approximately 0.0478 inch (1.21 mm) cold-rolled steel; the thinnest and lightest gauge offered. An affordable, lightweight option for indoor decorative signs, business logos, home décor and wall displays. Available in existing sizes up to 36 × 36 inches, with one or two layers. Professionally powder coated.
• 16 Gauge: approximately 0.0598 inch (1.52 mm), thicker and more rigid than 18 gauge.
• 14 Gauge: approximately 0.0747 inch (1.90 mm), thicker and more rigid than 16 gauge.
• 11 Gauge: approximately 0.1196 inch (3.04 mm), the thickest and most rigid option. Two-layer signs use an 11 gauge front and a 14 gauge backing.

Free local pickup by appointment after completion: Choose Pickup at checkout to collect your sign at IR Fabrication in Lexington, SC. No shipping or shipping-packaging charge applies to pickup orders. We will notify you when your custom sign is complete; then email steve@ir-fab.com with your order number to arrange a pickup time. Please wait for a confirmed appointment before visiting. The pickup estimate displayed at checkout is not a confirmed production completion date or appointment.

Shipping: Eligible sizes receive UPS Ground rates at checkout. Oversized configurations require a separate packaging and shipping quote; the sign price does not include shipping. You may purchase the sign now and pay the shipping invoice before shipment, or email steve@ir-fab.com before ordering for a shipping estimate. A $0 shipping amount for these configurations is a placeholder, not free shipping.

Order a custom CNC plasma cut business or logo sign. Choose your steel gauge, overall size and a single-layer or two-layer construction.

• 1 Layer: one cut steel sign, powder coated in one color.
• 2 Layers: a cut front design over a solid silhouette backing, with one powder coat color per layer. Choose 18 gauge for both layers (up to 36 × 36 inches), 16 gauge for both layers, 14 gauge for both layers, or an 11 gauge front with a 14 gauge backing.

Layer colors: The front color applies to the cut sign. A second color applies to the backing only when the 2 Layers option is selected. Single-layer signs receive one powder coat color and have no backing layer.

Artwork and color: Upload your logo or reference image on this page, or email it with your order number and preferred color or colors to steve@ir-fab.com. SVG, AI, EPS, or DXF files are preferred; PNG, JPG, and PDF are also welcome. Available standard colors include black, gray, blue, red, silver, and white. We will confirm the layout and colors with you before cutting.

About the photos: The gallery shows photographs of prior custom signs. Examples show design possibilities, not the exact gauge or configuration for every photo. The listed price includes one solid powder coat color per layer. Hand-painted details, multiple colors on one layer, printed graphics, extra layers, and special mounting are quoted separately.

Sizes shown are maximum overall dimensions and may be used in portrait or landscape orientation. Your design is scaled proportionally to fit within the selected dimensions. Sizes are offered in 6 inch increments up to 48 x 96 inches. Custom sizes outside these options and mounting hardware are quoted separately. Prices are before applicable tax and shipping.

Packed with care: Every sign is carefully packed with protective cushioning and packaging suited to its size and weight to help protect the finish and edges during transit.

Custom design fees and revisions

Customer-supplied artwork: A separate design fee is not required only when the supplied artwork is essentially CNC plasma-cut ready and needs little to no modification. This means the design is suitable for a single connected cut piece where applicable, has adequate bridges and minimum detail spacing, and needs no significant redrawing, conversion, cleanup, or redesign. IR Fabrication will review submitted files before confirming whether they qualify. Minor routine file preparation may be included at our discretion; if meaningful changes are required, we will explain the work and obtain approval of the applicable design fee before proceeding.

Need us to create or substantially redraw your design? A $60 design deposit is required before custom design work begins. This deposit covers one initial design concept and two rounds of reasonable revisions. The deposit is credited in full toward the finished sign when you proceed with the order, and becomes nonrefundable once design work begins.

What counts as a revision? Adjustments that refine the approved direction while keeping the same basic concept, such as resizing lettering, correcting spelling, adjusting spacing, moving elements, or making modest detail changes. Related edits submitted together count as one revision round.

What counts as a new design or major design change? Replacing the original concept, switching to a substantially different layout or theme, changing the primary artwork or subject, or requesting a complete redraw after a concept has been prepared. These changes are not included in the two revision rounds; any additional design charge will be quoted and approved before work proceeds.

Additional revisions beyond the two included rounds may also incur a separately approved charge. We will review your reference images, sketches, and written instructions and reach out if we need clarification. Final fabrication and pricing depend on design complexity and CNC feasibility. Production begins after design approval and payment arrangements are complete.
